In July 1997, real estate professionals and roommates, Gregg Roberts and Scott Hakim made a pact to transform the real estate business in New York.

Sitting over drinks at Mo's Caribbean on the Upper East Side, Gregg and Scott formulated a plan - take Real Estate to a higher ground. Hire experienced, career driven brokers. Be a friend and advisor to clients. Develop a boutique firm based on solid relationships and expertise.

Named to inspire a feeling of latitude in its employees and clients, CitySites received a warm reception from new clients, who were either intimidated or uninspired by the larger, more bureaucratic firms. The success of CitySites is a classic underdog story: new firm, based in a charming walk-up in Gramercy versus the corporate behemoths with 'corporate takeover' weighing on their mind.

CitySites employees are always thinking about the client, not the corporate ladder. This type of thinking has allowed CitySites to grow - now with three offices in Manhattan - on 57th Street, 48th Street and 23rd Street.

CitySites brokers are motivated by making clients happy. Watching them actually enjoy the process of renting, buying or selling a home (it is possible!). But Gregg and Scott also felt strongly that their staff needs to be taken care of in the same way they care for their clients. CitySites employees receive medical benefits (extremely rare in this business) and also participate in a highly dynamic and continuous training program. They have access to the finest technology. They are given the tools they need to do their job better.

CitySites prefers to think of each client as a neighbor, and each neighbor has unique needs. Every client has access to all levels of the firm - from the broker, to manager to Gregg and Scott themselves. If a client needs help or advice, the whole team will pitch in.

Every day, CitySites brokers use their talents to connect their client with the right home.
